I added a bunch of new articles which provide a lot more detail on the basics of making conversation. I also changed around two of the existing ones. I thought the site’s coverage of that topic was always a bit lighter than it could have been, so this is something I’ve been meaning to do for a while. The responses from the Reader Survey got me to start working on it.

In the days to come I’ll also mildly tweak some of the existing articles to reflect the fact that there’s now a lot more conversational advice for them to point readers to.

New article. This is one more idea I got from the responses people left in the Reader Survey:
Handling Social Rejection, Mistakes, and Setbacks

New article, another one inspired by suggestions from the ongoing Reader Survey. People asking for more examples came up a few times, so here’s one outcome of that:
Examples Of Various Ways To Invite People To Hang Out

First I’ll post the link to a new shorter article I wrote:
How To Find Events And Clubs In Your Community
Next, a big thank you to everyone who took the time to fill out the Reader Survey. I’d especially like to thank the respondents who took the time to share the story of their social struggles, and who wrote down things that may not have been easy for them to tell someone else.
I’ll keep the survey up for a lot longer, but so far it’s already given me a bunch of ideas for articles I need to write or change, and for usability improvements I can make to the site. I’ve already taken some and tried to make the main article index a little more user friendly (I knew I needed to do this anyway, but I implemented some specific suggestions).
If you haven’t already filled out the survey, you can click here to do so.

I put together a survey to try and get a better idea of what type of people visit my site, and how I can make it more useful to them. If you can take the time to fill it out I’d really appreciate it. None of the questions are mandatory.
